By accessing or using ChefAI, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies linked from this website. If you do not agree, do not use ChefAI.
What ChefAI Provides
ChefAI provides tools for importing recipe content from sources such as websites, social media links, screenshots, pasted text, YouTube links, and manually entered notes. ChefAI can help structure recipes, save them to your library, organize them into cookbooks and favorites, build grocery lists, and provide AI-assisted nutrition or macro estimates.
Accounts
You may need an account to use certain features, save recipes, sync data, or access subscriptions. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account. Notify ChefAI if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit, upload, paste, save, or organize in ChefAI. You grant ChefAI a limited license to host, store, process, display, transform, and transmit your content as needed to provide app features, including recipe import, AI parsing, cookbook organization, grocery list creation, search, syncing, support, and troubleshooting.
Public and Shared Content
If ChefAI offers public recipe or sharing features, you are responsible for any content you choose to publish or share. Do not make content public unless you have the rights and permissions needed to do so. ChefAI may remove or restrict content that appears to violate these Terms, third-party rights, platform rules, or applicable law.
Respect for Creators and Platforms
ChefAI is designed to help you organize recipe information for personal use. You are responsible for respecting copyright, trademark, publicity rights, creator attribution, website terms, social platform rules, and any restrictions that apply to source material. ChefAI does not grant rights to third-party recipes, videos, images, captions, or creator content.
Acceptable Use
- Do not upload, import, save, or share unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harmful, abusive, or unsafe content.
- Do not use ChefAI to harass others, violate privacy rights, or bypass platform restrictions.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, overload, scrape, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to ChefAI or its backend services.
- Do not misrepresent AI-generated or imported content as verified medical, nutrition, allergy, or food safety advice.
Subscriptions and Payments
ChefAI may offer subscriptions, trials, or paid features through Apple's App Store. Pricing, trial details, renewal terms, cancellation controls, and refund handling will be shown in the app and managed through Apple. Apple may require you to accept additional payment and subscription terms.
AI-Generated and Imported Content
ChefAI uses AI to help parse and organize recipes, but AI and import results can be wrong. Ingredients, directions, cooking times, source details, serving sizes, grocery categories, and nutrition estimates may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsafe. You are responsible for reviewing all content before cooking, shopping, eating, sharing, or relying on it.
Nutrition, Allergies, and Food Safety
ChefAI is not a healthcare provider, dietitian, nutritionist, allergen database, or food safety authority. Always verify allergens, ingredients, cooking temperatures, doneness, substitutions, serving sizes, and nutrition values from reliable sources before relying on them.
Service Changes
ChefAI may add, remove, suspend, or modify features at any time. We may also update these Terms, policies, pricing, availability, or support options as the app evolves.
Termination
You may stop using ChefAI at any time. ChefAI may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for the service or other users, or used the app unlawfully.
Disclaimers
ChefAI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ChefAI disclaims warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this language may not apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, ChefAI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, personal injury, food safety issues, allergy reactions, or reliance on inaccurate imported or AI-generated content.
Governing Law
These Terms will be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where ChefAI is operated, unless a different rule is required by applicable consumer protection law.
